General
PARALYMPIC MOTIVATION
After winning gold and setting a world record at the 2018 Asian Para Games in Indonesia, he revealed he had used the disappointment of finishing fourth in the F44 javelin at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro as the catalyst to continue improving. "I missed out on a medal [in Rio de Janeiro] by a slender margin. And it kept haunting me for a long time. When I returned to India from the Games I realised there is no difference between fourth and 40th place. I took the failure as motivation and worked harder." The following year he went on to win gold with another world record throw at the 2019 World Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. (paralympic.org, 24 Oct 2018, 13 Feb 2021)

FURTHER EDUCATION
He has studied for a degree in physical education at GHG Khalsa College in Ludhiana, India. (timesofindia.indiatimes.com, 04 Jul 2019)
