Impairment Details
In 2015 she broke the tibia and fibula in her right leg while practising acrobatic gymnastics. The treatment she received caused further complications, resulting in her leg being amputated. Her family filed a lawsuit for medical negligence against the doctor and the hospital. The doctor was initially sentenced to two years in prison and a four-year professional suspension, as well as a payment of over two million Euros in compensation. However, in 2019 the jail sentence and the suspension were revoked, and the total amount of compensation was reduced.
