General
TRAINING METHODS
He learned high jump by tying a string between two chairs and landing in a swimming pool despite not being able to swim, as he did not have the appropriate equipment. "After every jump, my coach handed me some floats to get out of the pool. That is the way I trained for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro." In 2021, he was training in an abandoned dairy factory with a makeshift landing mat made of a mattress, tires, wood and canvas, and a rope for a high jump crossbar. "We say that this is the factory of dreams. We visualise this place differently. We used to train at a school gym, but they had a lot of events and we would often spend a month not training."
