General
WINTER SPORTS
He represented Poland in Para cross-country skiing and Para biathlon at the Paralympic Winter Games in 2002 and 1998 and believes that experience has helped his career in Para athletics. "I made my mark competing in winter sports at a professional level so knew exactly what elite sport looks like and how you have to behave. My task in discus was to repeat in competition what I was doing in training. I knew that I was good enough technically and that is crucial in discus. You can have the strength of Hercules, but without technique it will not go far." (zgorzelec.info, 04 Sep 2018)

OCCUPATION
He works as a photographer and has owned a photography studio since 2002. He has also previously worked as a city councillor in Zgorzelec, Poland. (tvp.pl, 19 Feb 2020; zgorzelec.naszemiasto.pl, 30 Aug 2017, 29 Jun 2017)
