FINAL PARALYMPICS
She says that the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, where she can become the first female Polish athlete to compete in Para athletics at five editions of the Paralympic Games, will be her last Games. "I think that the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo will be my last one. I'm only getting older and my body is already worn out, so I cannot imagine another four-year cycle of training. I dream about earning Paralympic gold in Tokyo. It is the only missing medal in my collection and it would be a perfect way to crown my career." (SportsDeskOnline, 22 Apr 2021; Za Linia Mety YouTube channel, 11 Feb 2021)

COACH SINCE CHILDHOOD
She has been coached by Jacek Szczygiel since age 13 and feels that their relationship is like that of a father and daughter. "We have a great partnership and communicate perfectly. After so many years of working together we are almost like father and daughter. We know each other very well, so year by year it's even easier to work with each other." (weszlo.fm, 07 Jul 2019)

EARLY YEARS
She competed at the 1998 World Championships in Birmingham, England at age 13. She had started Para athletics training that year and impressed national coaches when she won medals at the Polish national championships in 1998. "When I told my parents that I was going to the world championships, they didn't believe me, and were sure that I had misunderstood the coaches. I was shocked and very nervous, because I was young and had just started my athletics career." ('Alicja Fiodorow' documentary, 01 Oct 2016)
