TRIATHLON TO ATHLETICS
In 2020 he switched his focus from Para triathlon to Para athletics in the hope of representing the Faroe Islands at the Paralympic Games. "Neither the Para triathlon nor the Para cycling federations recognise Faroe Islands as a different NPC [National Paralympic Committee] from Denmark. If I wanted to represent my country, it had to be in Para athletics, so here I am. I can run long distances, and that is why I chose the marathon." (Athlete, 23 Aug 2021)
