A school teacher encouraged him to take up the sport. "I was curious about the sport as a child. The impairment happened all of a sudden, but I never considered myself as a disabled person because for me the 'disabled person' is the one who can act, can help, but does nothing. I think Para sport comes to show that the athlete is a worthy being and that no one should feel sorry for them."
