LOCAL PIONEER
In 2018 he and his family relocated to Montlucon, France, where Gael joined the Montlucon Athletisme club. His father Denis said the club started a special Para sport section just for him, as the club did not previously have any Para athletes. "We met coach Christian Laforest and ended up talking for a whole afternoon. He realised the potential of Gael who began getting some results," his father said.
