MMA CAREER
He decided to pursue a second sporting career in mixed martial arts after the Russian Paralympic Committee was banned from the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He competes against able-bodied opponents and took 47 seconds to win his first fight in 2017 and also claimed victory in one round against Georgy Kurilin from Moscow, Russian Federation in late 2020. In 2021 he opened a gym in Vladikavkaz, Russian Federation, to help people with an impairment train in mixed martial arts. "MMA is a big friendly family and I am delighted to be a part of it."
