OCCUPATION
He works in the income tax department of the Indian government. In March 2021 he was also appointed to a deputy director role by the Haryana state government. The appointment was the result of lobbying efforts by Chahar and other Indian Para athletes to have Paralympic Games and Asian Para Games medal winners given higher-grade jobs in the state.
