STOLEN EQUIPMENT
In June 2021 her coach Disney Machado was robbed at gunpoint while driving in Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. She was left unable to train as much of her equipment was stolen, as well as her coach's passport and visa. "He was arriving here in Marica [Brazil] when two cars and a motorcycle ambushed him. He was forced to stop the car and four men got out. As he tried to unbuckle his seatbelt, one of them put a rifle in his face, threatening him.
