She began wrestling in 2001 at the ULZKS Heros Czarny Bor club in Poland. (Facebook page, 22 May 2016; FILA, 22 Jul 2008)

"I was always bustling with energy. When I was seven, I thought I would become a musician. After four years of playing the accordion, I smashed it on the floor. I couldn't find anything suitable for me for a long time. It was a coincidence that I got into sports. I was 18 and my father was a mechanic. One day a wrestling coach's car was towed to my father's garage. The coach, instead of paying for the repair, was asked to make a wrestler out of me." (odmladzaniestawow.pl, 11 Mar 2017)

LATE QUALIFICATION
She initially failed to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, but Sweden's Jenny Fransson, who had earned a quota place at the 2019 World Championships, failed an out of competition doping test. Sweden rejected the quota and Fransson's spot was taken by Wieszczek-Kordus, who was the next best-ranked wrestler from the 2019 World Championships. "There is no pressure. I will do my best on the mat and we'll see what happens. Everyone goes to the Olympics dreaming of a medal, but not everyone gets to realise their dreams. I already know how to realise my dreams from 13 years ago [she won bronze at the 2008 Games] and who knows, maybe this time I can do it again. You can't get an opportunity like this and not have positive thoughts." (polskieradio.pl, 20 Jul 2021)
