His father Dalas, his grandfather Robert, and his siblings Noah and Alana-Ray have all represented Canada in weightlifting. Dalas competed at the 2005 World Championships in Doha, Qatar, and Robert participated at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal. Noah was ranked sixth in the 89kg category at the 2019 Pan American Championships in Guatemala City, Guatemala, while Alana-Ray competed at the 2019 World Youth Championships in Las Vegas, NV, United States of America.
