Having moved from Ecuador to Argentina at age 16, she received Argentinian citizenship in 2018. "In Argentina, children begin to play volleyball at the age of eight; in Ecuador I started at 15. Everything that young children in Argentina are taught I was learning at 15, but it was easy for me to learn. I looked at the other players, and the coaches made technical corrections for me.
