"I began playing volleyball in a local club in Vicente Lopez [next to Buenos Aires, Argentina]. I started with my sisters. I had so much fun with them and other friends. When the team disappeared, the coach took us to Banco Nacion club where I played in almost all the under age teams. There I received my first call up to the national team, and that was when I realised I wanted to dedicate myself to volleyball. It was not that it was something I wanted since a young age, but it happened due to the situations." (mundoxeneize.com.ar, 24 Apr 2020)

FURTHER STUDIES
She has also studied for a degree in nutrition. "I always tried to combine both my sporting career and my studies. Due to my obligations as an athlete I knew that I would complete it at a slower pace than other students, so I knew from the beginning that I would do it at my own rhythm. While athletes are competing they don't pay too much attention to what comes afterwards. My future beyond volleyball is something that troubles me. I have always been interested in planning my life for when I stop competing. Sport is a beautiful thing but we know it has an expiration date. It's important for us athletes to be well aware of our expiration date." (bocajuniors.com.ar, 06 Aug 2020)

CHANGE OF POSITION
She initially played as a wing spiker or opposite spiker before switching to the libero position. She first tried the libero position at age 17 and decided to focus exclusively on the position after undergoing knee surgery in 2004. "[When I was called up to a national team process] I was age 17. At the time I was a wing spiker, we were around 100 girls but only 12 would make the team. I started training as a libero and competing for that position. Six years ago [in 2014] I switched to libero after knee surgery. I was advised to stop jumping, that's how I switched position. At the beginning I didn't like it, but I did as the years passed by."
