POST-TOKYO PLANS
Speaking in 2021, she said she intends to take a break from the sport to become a mother after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. She says she is uncertain if she will return to volleyball afterwards. "I am not that sure, because I have spoken to other players who had to leave their children to travel. I am not sure if I have the psychological strength for that, although I feel fine physically. Maybe I will have the required physical condition, but I am not sure. I want to dedicate myself to motherhood." (globoesporte.globo.com, 12 Apr 2021)

OVERSEAS EXPERIENCE
She says she has gained valuable experience from playing in leagues around the world. "Every time I have played away from Brazil I could learn something new and evolve in a positive way. In Japan, for instance, I had to get used to players performing so well and strong in defence, while in Turkey they have their own style as well. In Russia it's again different because all players are very tall and physically strong, so I had to adjust tactically and improve on my performance in attack. I think that playing abroad you get a chance to evolve and improve. It's not just about the good offers you get from a financial perspective, but also about the overall experience you get from living and playing abroad." (cev.lu, 15 Apr 2015)
