She initially played as an opposite spiker or wing spiker but switched positions to setter under the recommendation of her coach. "When I was younger I used to play as an outside hitter and opposite. But my coach kept saying that I should be a setter. I was crying and didn't want to play on this position. I started to play as a setter when I was 13 or 14."
