OLYMPIC PERSPECTIVES
She says she was too young to have fully appreciated her Olympic debut at the 2012 Games in London, and that partly as a result of her knee injury in 2018, she will be able to experience the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo in a more mature way. "The 2012 Games was beautiful memory, a burst of emotions that did not even allow me to understand where I was and what I was doing. But I experienced it as a child, I was 18, without the necessary maturity to fully enjoy it. After the knee injury in 2018 I grew up. I am no longer a girl, but a woman who knows how to manage certain emotions." (volleynews.it, 07 Jul 2021)

CLUB CAREER
She has played for clubs in both Brazil and Turkey, experiences she says helped her develop as a player. "When I left for Brazil I was 19 and at the beginning it was a bit tough. I accepted it because I had received this offer from Osasco, a team made up of many Olympic champions and since I wanted to develop I thought that comparing myself with these players, being in contact with them throughout the season, together with the Brazilian volleyball culture, would help me a lot for the rest of my career. The experience in Brazil made me grow a lot, both as a player and as a person. At 19, rolling up your sleeves in a country other than yours and without your parents next to you is not easy, whatever the problem you have to manage alone and in this aspect I improved a lot. Later I took the opportunity in Turkey to have the chance to compare myself with the Turkish league because I wanted to play in a competition made up of the strongest players in the world, given that Turkey's economic level is one of the highest. There are teams equipped at the highest levels and I wanted to see if I could be an important part of my team. This experience was positive because we competed as one of the best three teams in the league, achieving the goal set by the club. I decided to return to Italy because I wanted to win something in my country too." (vanovarava.it, 01 Mar 2016)
