General Interest

General
CAMP
In 2019 she established IS Volley Camp, a volleyball training camp for girls aged between 12 and 17 in Kaunas, Lithuania. "The volleyball movement in Lithuania is still a beginner, there are no sports halls, or an adequate number of coaches and conditions that can help the development of the sport. 'IS Volley Camp' was born with the idea of showing young girls aged 12 to 17 how professional players train and how they too can cultivate the dream of transforming a hobby into their job. This experience was the best way to remember where I started and how much I love volleyball. It is certainly a project that I want to continue in the future too." (isvolleycamp.it, 01 Jun 2019; volleynews.it, 15 Oct 2019)

FROM LITHUANIA TO ITALY
Born in Kaunas, Lithuania, she moved to Italy with her mother at age 14 to try and further her volleyball career. In June 2013 she became an Italian citizen, and made her national team debut a few days later. "The blue jersey was a dream achieved. There were tears of joy, of happiness, of thanks. Some saw it as a ridiculous thing, but for me it was very moving. My blood is Lithuanian, but my heart is Italian." (Facebook profile, 18 Aug 2014; nordmeccanicarebecchivolley.it, 12 Jul 2014; Corriere dello Sport, 21 Aug 2013; corrieredellosport.it, 05 Jun 2013)

ASSOCIATION
She was a founding member of the Italian Volleyball Association [AIP]. "I consider it [the association] something that is important for both the Italian and the foreign players. It is very important to feel involved." (volleyball.it, 27 Oct 2020)
