OVERSEAS EXPERIENCE
In 2009 she relocated to Japan to join JT Marvelous. She then moved to Turkey in 2011 to play for Fenerbahce, before signing for Chinese club Shanghai Bright Ubest in 2017. The following year she moved back to Turkey to join Eczacibasi. In June 2020 she returned to the Republic of Korea and signed for Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders in the Korean V-League, the club where she made her professional debut in 2005. After the 2020 Olympic Games, she will return to Shanghai to play for Shanghai Bright Ubest in the 2021/22 season. "There were many reasons, including my family and the [COVID-19] pandemic, that made me play in Republic of Korea, but most of all, it was the most important for me to maintain my best form ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo." She mainly played in defensive positions growing up due to her shorter height, but switched to wing spiker as she grew taller in high school.
