OVERSEAS EXPERIENCE
She has played professional volleyball in a number of countries including Germany, Italy, People's Republic of China, Puerto Rico and Turkey, and says she enjoys the opportunity to experience different cultures with her husband Corbin. "I am really lucky to have my husband, Corbin, support me and drop everything to come with me. He has put my dreams at the top of his list and always believed in me. We made the decision when I first starting playing that we would do it together. He has come with me for six professional seasons now [speaking in 2019]. We also have our dog, Champ, who travels with us and keeps us company. She loves to travel. It is really hard sometimes to be away from home but it is such an amazing experience. Experiencing different cultures and how other people live and what they see as important in their lives is really special." (flovolleyball.tv, 28 Jan 2019; volleyball.world, 30 Jan 2019)

COACHING
She served as a student assistant coach during her final year at the University of Illinois in the United States of America. She has also been a member of the coaching staff for the men's team at the University of California, Irvine in the United States of America. (metroindependent.com, 12 Jun 2014; fightingillini.com, 30 Aug 2011)

WET WEDDING
In June 2013 her wedding in Illinois, United States of America, was disrupted by torrential rain that led to some flooding. Her uncle tried to stop water getting into the ceremony by sealing the entrance with his suit. "Everything happened extremely quickly. Two chairs were brought to us, and we [her and husband Corbin] were standing on them. It wasn't really romantic. Despite everything it was an amazing day. Just the DJ was annoyed because his equipment got wet." (cev.lu, 16 Feb 2015)
