RETIREMENT PLANS
She says she plans to retire from competitive volleyball after competing at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I'm just not getting any younger. I've been playing consistently overseas for 12 years straight with no real off-season. I also have other endeavours in my life that I want to see. Getting married, having children, those kinds of things. The older I get, the more challenging those become." (olympics.nbcsports.com, 27 Mar 2020)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
She has served on the International Volleyball Federation [FIVB] Athlete's Commission and on the Player Executive Committee of the Athletes Unlimited league in the United States of America. (volleyball.world, 23 Feb 2021)

FOUNDATION
In 2015 she co-founded the Give It Back Foundation with seven of her international teammates. They host volleyball camps in their hometowns and provide young players with the opportunity to be coached by elite athletes. (giveitbackfoundation.org, 15 Apr 2015; teamusa.org, 14 Apr 2019)

EARLY DAYS
She grew up in Hooper, NE, United States of America, a small rural town where her father owned a farm. She was featured on a banner at the entrance of the town, which read 'Home of Olympian Jordan Larson USA Volleyball women's national team'. "It was crazy to grow up in a small town, basically 900 [people], where you know everybody. It was a cool environment and very supportive. I was lucky to grow up where I did. My dad is still a farmer, and it's cool to look back on those times. Growing up, I never thought in a million years I'd be travelling the world and seeing more of the world than I ever thought I would. I'm blessed that my roots are where they are."
