She began the sport at age 16. (triathlon.kiwi, 01 Jun 2020)
:
She swam and ran as a child before she was scouted for triathlon. "I always swam from a young age and enjoyed running growing up through school and athletics. I was talent scouted when I was 15 through my swimming and running ability alongside my older brother. I never did any training for running as my swimming fitness, due to 16 hours of training a week, did most of the hard yards for me. I was teamed up with a coach when I was 16 and started cycling and running and did my first triathlon." (triathlon.kiwi, 01 Jun 2020)
:
To compete at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, and to win medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. (triathlon.kiwi, 01 Jun 2020; time-to-run.com, 17 May 2021)
:
"A typical training week is around 25 kilometres of swimming, 250 kilometres of cycling and 55 kilometres of running, plus three one-hour gym sessions." (triathlon.kiwi, 01 Jun 2020)
