His wife Lyubov Polyanskaya has represented the Russian Federation in triathlon and competed at the 2011 Mixed Relay World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland. She also won individual bronze at the 2011 European U23 Championships in Eilat, Israel. His older brother Dmitry Polyanskiy has represented Russian Federation in triathlon and competed at the Olympic Games in 2008, 2012 and 2016. He also won bronze at the 2012 Mixed Relay World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden and individual silver medals at the 2016 and 2014 European championships.
