"My parents were athletes, and they liked triathlon when my brother and I were very small. They were both champions of the Krasnoyarsk region. They had just one weakness, they swam badly. Probably because of that, they introduced us to swimming first, and then we switched to triathlon. I got tired of just swimming and decided to vary my life by adding two other sports, cycling and running." (Athlete, 21 Apr 2016; youngstars.ru, 01 Jan 2011)
