She began running at age six before taking up triathlon at age seven. (sportmag.fr, 20 Oct 2018; spe15.fr, 15 Mar 2015)
:
She was born into a family of sport enthusiasts. Her mother practised middle distance running and her father was a triathlete and an athletics coach. She also tried swimming, and even practised pole vault before focusing on running. Not being able to decide between swimming and running she then opted for triathlon. "I really loved to run and swim when I was younger. I told myself that triathlon was the best way of combine both." (poissytriathlon.com, 01 Jan 2019; sportmag.fr, 20 Oct 2018)

She trains around 30 hours per week. She does up to six swimming sessions of up to five kilometres in the pool and, during the summer, she trains in open water. Her cycling training comprises combinations of endurance and speed. She has a limited running training schedule due to the impact it has on her joints. She also has two strength sessions at the gym per week. She trains at the Centre of Resources, Expertise and Sports Performance [CREPS] in Montpellier, France and attends regular training camps on Reunion Island. (ENGIE YouTube channel, 28 Sep 2020)

"The road ahead is full of obstacles but I make sure I focus on small things day by day and enjoy the journey as much as I can." (Bahrain Endurance 13 YouTube channel, 11 May 2021)

General Interest

General
SUNSTROKE IN TOKYO
She was taken to hospital in 2019 after suffering sunstroke and experiencing abdominal pain during a triathlon test event in Tokyo, Japan. The event was staged in temperatures higher than 35 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 85%. In order to be prepared for the potential for similar conditions at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, she and the French national team have trained in a thermoroom that simulated the weather conditions at the test event. "It's like training in a sauna. It's not pleasant." (olympics.org, 02 Jun 2021; challenges.fr, 15 Aug 2019)

DISCIPLINE STRUGGLES
She considers cycling to be her weakest discipline in triathlon. "I struggle to find a good balance between the three disciplines, especially in terms of intensity during training. With the bike I was in unknown territory at the beginning. I had to call some specialists in order to explain certain things to me. With time and experience I am less afraid than before, but I sustained a very strong crash in Hamburg [Germany] in 2017 which took me some time to regain my courage." She also admits that she found swimming difficult when she first tried the sport. "I was learning to swim at a water polo club and at the beginning I kept on nearly drowning." (lefigaro.fr, 22 Dec 2018; spe15.fr, 15 Mar 2015)

OCCUPATION
She has served as an athlete member of the French national gendarmerie. (lessor.org, 14 May 2021)
