COMPETING FOR TURKEY
Between 2014 and 2016 he represented Turkey, switching allegiance from Germany in an attempt to make the Turkish team for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Having missed out on the 2016 Games, he returned to competing for Germany from 2018. "During the two years I represented Turkey, I gained a lot of racing experience and I now know every triathlon track in the world. This was important for my personal and sporting development."
