FAMILY AFFAIR
She announced in 2021 that she was being coached by her brother Alexander Pavlyuchenkov, who is also a former professional tennis player. "We have worked together before. When I was 14 years old, Sasha also played with me and accompanied me on my travels. We went through a lot but we quarrelled once and Sasha decided to resume his tennis career. I then spent more time abroad in France with foreign coaches. We have both matured since then. We do not quarrel and work very professionally on the court. Outside of the work process, he is my brother, an extraordinary person and a person who I enjoy travelling with. We laugh constantly and that helps us relax under the constant heavy workload. On the court, Sasha is a coach for me, a great professional and a very demanding perfectionist. With him there is always an incentive to strive for the best. Throughout my career, I have not always been disciplined. Discipline is not only about training on the court, but also about how you live outside of it, in terms of your nutrition and regime. Sasha is a professional tennis player himself, who has gone through different periods, so he helps me to avoid the same mistakes based on his experience. He motivates me very much. He really believes in me and that's just priceless." (vogue.ru, 18 Jun 2021)
