She is due to become the second member of her family to compete at the Olympic Games at Tokyo 2020. Her father Tomasz represented Poland in rowing at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. "[The Olympic Games] are special to me. I think they always will be because my dad is an Olympian. They certainly have great value, but we [Swiatek and her team] are trying to tell ourselves they are like any other tournament. We don't want to build up high expectations that might stress me out.
