In 2021 she spoke about representing her home state of Utah, not know for successful swimmers, during the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I would say it's really special. I've had a lot of people reach out to me from home that they're somewhat friends or old friends or old family friends that I just had no idea that they were watching.
