She was originally involved in tennis and folk dancing before she decided to focus on swimming after she was encouraged by her parents. "It was important for my mum to learn to swim, as swimming skills provide security during the holidays. But I've also tried and done many other sports on a long-term basis. After a while, however, it became so much that I had to choose. And it was clear to me that I would choose to swim because I already loved water as a toddler.
