Her sister Sarah, also a swimmer, competed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In 2017 the sisters competed together in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay at the world championships in Budapest, Hungary. "It was a very, very special moment for the two of us. Our parents were there and that was a really full-circle moment for me. To be able to do this means a lot to me but to do it with a part of my family, that was a very big moment for us."
