YOUNGER SISTER
Her younger sister Lena, born in 2002, is also a competitive swimmer. Despite being younger, Lena is a few centimetres taller than Laura, and hopes to follow in the footsteps of her older sister. The pair have trained together in the same group, and competed against each other at the German national championships. Laura jokes that this is OK, as long as she comes out on top.
