MISTAKING RACE DISTANCE
He won the 400m freestyle at the 2020 International Swimming League [ISL] event in Budapest, Hungary despite stopping at 350 metres when he believed the race had finished. "When I touched the wall, it felt really weird because I looked at my teammates and they waved their hands and shouted, 'Go'. Maybe three seconds later I realised I still had to swim 50 metres to the finish. I gave up all my strength and completely 'died' in the last 10 metres. It was very difficult for me.
