She believes the closure of swimming pools during the COVID-19 pandemic made her physically stronger as she dedicated more time to fitness training. "I honestly feel that during COVID-19 when the pools were closed I got stronger, because I did a lot of fitness training at home. When we went back to swimming I really felt a change. I have also kept up my fitness training at that more intense level and I feel that thanks to that I was able to set a national record in the pool and improve my swimming."
