"I was nine years old when I started skating. I had a board since I was three years old, but I never used it. My brother one day took it to the skate park and then I wanted to try it as well, and I've been skating ever since." (goodsport.me, 01 Jan 2021)

REPRESENTING GREAT BRITAIN
She was born in New York, NY, United States of America and is eligible to represent Great Britain through her family. She first represented Great Britain at the 2019 World Park Championships in Sao Paulo, Brazil. "I like to make the joke that I'm half a New Yorker, and three-quarters a Brummie [from Birmingham]. I spent so much of my childhood in Birmingham because my dad is British, so I guess it didn't really cross my mind, or my family's mind, to even try and compete for America. We just decided to try and go for Great Britain and it's worked out. I spent a lot of my childhood in Birmingham and my first thought was to compete for Britain, so when they invited me to compete for them at the [2019] world championships it just became a reality." SKATEBOARDING AT THE OLYMPICS
She believes the inclusion of skateboarding at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo is good for the image of the sport. However, she doesn't feel she is capable of winning a medal at the 2020 Games. "I know there are some people that don't agree, [and say] it shouldn't be a competitive thing, which I understand that it's not for some people. But the people that say skateboarding is just a punk sport for delinquents, I guess that new upcoming teenagers that do it at a high level are kind of breaking that mould, which is nice to see. This time [2020] I'm not going to win an Olympic medal - that's for girls like Sky [Brown] and I really hope she gets one - but it would really make me feel like I've really accomplished something to get there."
