Penny Wilson [mother, personal]

Her mother Penny Wilson [nee Way] and her brother Dan Wilson have both represented Great Britain in sailing. Penny competed at the Olympic Games in 1992 and 1996, while Dan sailed in the RS:X class at the 2018 World Championships in Aarhus, Denmark. I wasn't really into it to start with. I just wanted to eat ice cream and hang out. But I was always into sport at school. I tried to do as many as I possibly could. When I saw [Great Britain Olympic middle distance runner] Kelly Holmes on TV I just thought, 'I want to be like her'."
