Her brother Sam Meech has represented New Zealand in sailing, and won bronze in the Laser class at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Her partner Nicholas Heiner has competed in sailing for the Netherlands, and won silver in the Finn class at the 2019 Class World Championships in Melbourne, VIC, Australia. SAILING AROUND THE WORLD
When she was age three her parents took her and her brother Sam sailing around the world. She spent nearly 10 years growing up on their boat. "Growing up on the boat we definitely like being around the water and on the water. We just love being on the ocean I guess and it has helped our sailing. [It] led me to become who I am today. It was an amazing way to grow up. It was the best upbringing I could have. I guess I was just destined to start sailing after that."
