General
CREWMATE
She and Molly Meech began sailing together in the 49er FX class in 2012. The pair went on to win a silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. "I'm like a perfectionist and I get caught up in the detail and everything, while Molly is a little more cruisy and she sees the big picture. I think we balance each other out quite nicely that way." (yachtingnz.org.nz, 01 Sep 2019; redbull.com, 01 Mar 2015; newshub.co.nz, 19 Dec 2013)

MOVE TO NEW ZEALAND
She grew up in California, United States of America, but at age seven her parents packed up and moved to New Zealand to buy a boat. They spent the next three years at sea in the South Pacific, before settling in Auckland where she joined Murrays Bay Sailing Club. (redbull.com, 01 Mar 2015)

CHARITY RUN
She took part in the 2019 Auckland Marathon in New Zealand to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. "I think mental health is a bit of a journey. Sometimes there's going to be amazing highs, and also some tough times. We've all had our own experiences. I think giving people tools to get through the range of experiences life will hand them could be helpful. I'm definitely not a natural gazelle when it comes to running, but I loved 90% of that race and can see why people get the running bug."
