He represented England in a match against the United States of America at U16 level, and approached the US coaching staff following the match to inform them of his intention to play collegiate rugby in the United States of America. "No matter how that game would have gone, I think I would have wanted to come and live in the US and experience my American side. I have an English side, but I also have a strong American side.
