His cousins Josua Tuisova and Filipo Nakosi both represented Fiji in rugby union [15-a-side] at the 2019 World Cup in Japan. Josua Tuisova has also represented Fiji in rugby sevens, and was part of the team that won gold at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. His other cousin Pio Tuwai has represented Fiji in rugby sevens, and competed at the 2009 World Cup in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
