He has competed in various cycling races in New Zealand. In 2014 he completed the 100-kilometre Maunga Cycle Challenge, and he has also completed the 160-kilometre Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, one of New Zealand's largest cycling events. RUGBY TO ROWING
At age 16 he suffered muscle tears in both shoulders while playing rugby union for Tasman Mako. At the time he planned to pursue a career in rugby, and began to use rowing to improve his strength and fitness in order to be able to return to the sport, before his focus shifted full-time to competitive rowing. Milestones
