LONDON DISAPPOINTMENT
His dream of competing at the 2012 Olympic Games in London ended when he suffered a serious back injury in 2011. He had to watch his teammates participate while he worked at the Games. "I found it hard to see those guys doing that when I wasn't rowing. I'm not saying I definitely would have made Olympic selection but it was tough not to even be able to give it a go. I actually worked at the London Olympics on one of the merchandise stalls as I thought it would help to be part of it. Actually, it made it worse watching it all happen but being on the other side.
