She began rowing through a partnership between Warrington Rowing Club in England and her high school. "There was a 'Rowing Oarsome' project where they wanted to get more people to the rowing club. I had a go and at the time I did loads of different sports but I just really fell in love with it. There was a massive group of juniors which made it really fun and exciting."
