"As a child, I was seriously involved in swimming but my sister invited me to a rowing group. At first I refused. I told her that I liked being in the water more than on top of the water, but then I watched a movie in which the main characters were doing rowing. I really enjoyed watching the progress of the competition, especially the big crews, the eights. I was literally captivated by this sight. I thought the speed and power was very beautiful.
