COXING FOR WOMEN
In 2018 he became the first male athlete to cox an Australian women's eight at the world championships. The boat won bronze at the tournament in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and he says he was welcomed by the women's team from the moment he was selected. "I walked in the doors of the training centre and 25 girls and the coaches turned around and yelled out 'Rookieeeeee'. So that speaks for itself. It was really welcoming and easy.
