General Interest

General
RIO DISAPPOINTMENT
Injury meant he was out of contention to be selected for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and he says that despite that disappointment, the experience motivated him to return and prove himself. "Injuries, which I sustained before the key moments, unfortunately caused me to miss the fight for an Olympic spot. But maybe thanks to those injuries I have an even bigger motivation to show others and myself that despite obstacles, I can be among the best in the world. I came back stronger and smarter." (rp.pl, 26 Apr 2017; pztw.pl, 06 Dec 2018)

CREWMATE
He and his crewmate Artur Mikolajczewski both took up rowing at the same time having attended school together. They trained at the same club and under the same coach, partnering for the first time in 2009 at the U23 World Championships in Racice, Czech Republic. (rp.pl, 26 Apr 2017)

FUTURE PLANS
After retiring from rowing he says he plans to take up triathlon. "It's hard to stay away from sport when I'm not rowing. I also have a passion for cycling. Thinking about the future, I would like to try to compete in triathlon." (pztw.pl, 06 Dec 2018)
