"I started judo thanks to my brothers. When I was five years old, we moved from the village to the city. My parents would spend their days at work, so my brothers and I were left to our own devices. Near our house was a sports school that offered many different types of combat classes, boxing, karate, taekwondo and judo. My brothers chose judo, I don't know why. I was very young then and knew nothing about judo, so I just followed them. I really liked what I saw. Athletes in white kimonos fighting, doing somersaults. I thought it was beautiful."
