General Interest

General
TRANSFER
In 2020 he made the decision to leave HC Oranje-Rood to join German club Rot-Weiss Koln. "Hopefully I can contribute to the club in the coming years, in the league and in the EHL [European Hockey League]. The chance to work with coach Andre Henning and some of the world best players will inspire me to get the best out of myself again. I'm really looking forward to it. Rot-Weiss offered me the only thing that Oranje-Rood cannot offer me: a new challenge, a new environment, a new stimulus and a new competition." (ed.nl, 29 Jan 2020; hockey.nl, 30 Jan 2020)

OLYMPIC GOALS
He scored at least one goal in each of the Netherlands' matches at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, including his team's goal in the gold medal match against Germany, and ended as the tournament's top scorer with eight goals. (hockey.nl, 07 Jun 2016)
