Highlights

He earned 207 caps playing for Spain, scoring 127 goals. He competed at the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, winning a silver medal at the 1996 Games in Atlanta. From 2014 to 2020 he coached club teams in Belgium including Royal Racing Bruxelles and Royal Evere White Star. Between 2009 and 2013 he served in a variety of coaching roles in Spain including head coach of the Spanish men's U21 team, head coach of the Spanish men's indoor team, and high performance coach of Spain's senior men's and U21 teams.
